Kim Kardashian Interviews Kylie Jenner About Her Best Beauty Secrets – Allure Magazine (blog)

If any famous siblings are going to give you #sistergoals, it’s Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner. The self-acclaimed “mini Kim” has always gushed about how much her big sister has inspired her. For our August 2016 issue, we asked Kim to interview Kylie about her best beauty tips.

“Kim is interviewing me,” Jenner shouted to Khloé Kardashian, who took a break from making dinner to respond: “Kim Kardashian? Stop!” On the other end of the phone, Kim said, “Yes, I’m the interviewer. And you kept me waiting for 12 minutes. OK, Ky—are you ready?”

Kim Kardashian West: “Have you ever stolen anything from me? I promise I won’t get mad.”

Kylie Jenner: “Oh, all the time. But you always used to find out.”

KKW:Whhhhaaaat? Tell me!”

KJ: “I’d steal your jackets.”

KKW: “Oh, yeah…I’d go upstairs and all of my clothes would be up there.”

KJ: “Yeah, but I don’t, like, go to your house and steal stuff.”

KKW: “Have you ever lied to Mom, but not to your sisters?”

KJ: “Oh, God! A lot of times. Well, not a lot.”

KKW: “Now, here’s a question: Mom used to tell me a beauty secret all the time. I want to know, has she told you?”

KJ: “Um…not really.”

KKW: “She used to tell me to use a hot washcloth to wash off makeup and exfoliate. Not sure why she didn’t pass that on to you. What’s the best beauty tip you ever got?”

KJ: “Khloé always tells me to wear sunscreen. And I’ve been staying away from moisturizer because it’s really made my skin break out. You think moisturizer is good for you, but not too much.”

KKW: “And what’s the best beauty tip you ever got from me?”

KJ: “To use eye cream. We were in Bora-Bora, and you and Kourtney were like, ‘Immediately go and get an eye cream and start using it.'”

KKW: “So funny you remember that.”

KJ: “When my skin feels dry, I’ll do a little bit of Kiehl’s face moisturizer under my eyes.”

KKW: “You really should do it every day. OK, what’s the biggest beauty mistake you’ve ever made?”

KJ: “Well, I definitely made my lips a little too big at one point.”

KKW:Yeah.”

KJ: “I got excited and felt like I needed to do a lot. And then you guys were like, ‘Kylie, you need to chill.’ And then I had to go back and have it fixed, and it was a crazy process. Thank God I didn’t end up on Botched.”

KKW: “Remember when I lasered my baby hairs? I had awkward baby hairs on my forehead, and every photographer used to Photoshop them out. Sometimes I get really envious of your baby hairs because I think they’re more youthful. I overanalyze it all the time.”

KJ: “People’s eyes have been on us for so long that I could definitely name a lot of mistakes we’ve all made in the past.”

KKW: “Yeah, you could look at any old episode. So what are the best and worst things about having a camera in your face?”

KJ: “The best part is that we have these memories forever. We get to all be together, and we spend a lot more time together because we film. The worst part is…I don’t know, there aren’t a lot of bad things about it…except for when you’re just not in the mood.”

KKW: “There’s no moment off. What can you teach me about Snapchat?”

KJ: “I put a lot of thought into it, and I always like to give people what they want to see. It’s not that I necessarily [want] to post all of my cars today. It’s that I know people want to see that and live their life through ours. If I were watching your Snapchat, I’d want to see you and Kanye and Nor. I’d want to see your house.”

KKW: “I have to force myself to do it. Will you curate my Snapchat for a few days and help me out?”

KJ: “Yes!”

KKW: “Who is your beauty icon?”

KJ: “I feel like I should say you.”

KKW: “I mean, you don’t have to say it…but I’ll take it!”

KJ: “You are, though! I look up to you.”

KKW: “That’s so cute! Out of all the sisters, I’ve given you the most beauty advice. Like, from back when you were little. What’s your earliest memory?”

KJ: “I was four. We were in the old El Dorado house, and Khloé was like, ‘It’s your birthday today! Hold up your fingers and tell me how many you are.’ And being grounded because I wouldn’t eat my salad.”

KKW: “I do remember you getting grounded a lot for not eating. What would I see if I opened your refrigerator right now?”

KJ: “A lot of pressed juices, eggs, milk. And I always keep a block of medium cheddar at all times.”

KKW: “What were the best and most challenging things about growing up as my younger sister?”

KJ: “The best was that you guys are such girlie girls, and you really shaped me into a girlie girl, which I love.”

KKW: “And the most challenging?”

KJ: “Definitely the most challenging is being the youngest and trying to find my own way, trying to be recognized as an adult. Everyone thinks I’m still the baby…which I am.”

KKW: “You’ll always be the baby. What do you want to be when you grow up?”

KJ: “My main focus is my cosmetics line. I’m putting all my energy toward that and making it the best I can.”

KKW: “I don’t think I’ve ever gotten more requests for anything than the Lip Kits. I have to finagle some out of Mom just to keep people happy. It’s so crazy. I’m so happy [for you]…and I want to come over for dinner!”

KJ: “I know—we miss you.”

KKW: “Love you.”
