Are you ready to be told how to be the fairest of them all?

A new tech-savvy mirror dishes out beauty advice and can even deliver the goods to remedy what it deems to be “imperfections”.

The current model, from Panasonic, isn’t on the market yet, but at a Japanese electronics trade show, CEATEC, it demonstrated how it can detect blemishes, spots, large pores, wrinkles and sun damage on the face.

After these have been detected, the mirror can recommend beauty treatments, such as exfoliation or facial serums. It also offers make-up suggestions and allows the user try out different looks. If it is connected to a 3D printer, the mirror can then print out delicate patches of make-up specifically designed to cover the “problem areas”.

As the technology is still in development stages, these make-up patches require one day to dry and “settle” before being applied to the face.

Panasonic hopes this technology will eventually be able to be used to cover scars or birthmarks.
