Where do I get a bikini wax in Paris?” she opined. Paltrow, 41, also shares rarefied food tips and advised readers to “have a personal trainer come to your house, preferably on Mondays.” Paltrow was shocked her lifestyle advice was mocked, saying, “How could people hate me, my intentions or what I’m trying to do?”

According to WWD, Reese Witherspoon is following in Paltrow’s footsteps by launching her own lifestyle brand. Witherspoon, 38, hired former C Wonder president Andrea Hyde to be the CEO of her new company, which will “emphasize [her] Southern roots and personal style.” E! News reported that she’s named the business Draper James in honor of her grandparents and plans to open a retail store in 2015. She plans to sell hundreds of items, including bed and bath products, lingerie, handbags, kitchenware, fragrance and cosmetics, furniture, swimwear, pens, pencils, stationary, swaddling blankets and even plastic storage containers.

Jessica Alba’s Honest Company, which peddles eco-friendly baby and other family products, has been a huge hit. “Green” moms wanting chemical-free diapers, wipes, and soap have flocked to Alba’s web site. The 33-year-old mother of two has said she started the company after getting a rash from detergent and being frustrated about the lack of healthy options. “Our focus is on creating high performance, beautifully designed products that are affordable and obviously don’t ever use toxic chemicals,” she said.
