Favorite summer destinations: “Honestly, I’m not a beach person. So when we were in Bohol, I stayed in the resort. We went to the beach, but I stayed by the shore. I wasn’t really comfortable. I like being in the pool, I’m not comfortable being in the ocean. I can’t swim. I like to go somewhere to beat the heat like Tagaytay or Baguio. These are the places I like to go just to neutralize things a little bit, because it’s hot enough here in Manila.”

Favorite summer activity: “Recreational swimming by the pool where I can feel the floor with my toes. I also enjoy running. I like yoga. I like biking, not the mountain bike ha, ’yung casual bike with a basket in front with a puppy, that kind of biking. I’m not very athletic but I’m active. I’m terrible at sports but I move around a lot. I like Zumba.”

Five summer essentials: “Blotting paper, sunblock, water, a camera, good company.”

How she stays cool during the summer: “Surround myself with people who try not to push the wrong buttons.” (Laughs)

Favorite summer treat: “I like fruit shakes. Mango, grape, buko, but I have them take out the sugar. Halo-halo, my God, but I can’t have that now.”

How she stays in shape: “Running, pilates, yoga, weight training, Zumba. With Zumba, I don’t feel the one-hour session.”
