Media personality Wendy Williams sized down to 145 pounds and shared her weight loss secrets were a vegan diet and exercise.

Wendy Williams credits her 50-pound weight loss on a vegan diet that is free from refined sugards, eggs and dairy, according to Celebrity Health & Fitness.

It was revealed that Williams was an emotional eater but has disciplined herself not to eat so much.

“I don’t love food as much as I used to,” Williams said, as reported by US Magazine. “I’ve picked up on other great habits like juicing.”

According to Examiner, Williams eats a lot of onions, green peppers, beans, tomatoes and various green vegetables. For snacks, she munches on kale chips instead of potato chips and drinks coconut water instead of Pellegrino carbonated water.

During a Q&A video chat, Williams shared to a viewer that her weight-loss secret is “lots of cardio and Pilates” when she is at the gym. She admits that she has gone under the knife for liposuction and tummy tuck which jumpstarted her healthier lifestyle.

“I go to the gym because it’s not about me losing weight at this point, it’s about me trying to fight heart disease,” she said. “Slow and steady is the name of the game. It’s not going to happen overnight. I no longer believe in fad diets, crash diets…yes, I did have a jump-start because years ago I did get the liposuction and a tummy tuck, but I have to say that, if there is a poster child for plastic surgery and the jump-off to a new lifestyle, it would be me.”

She also adds that she does not believe in weight loss fads anymore.

“Out of all the crazy diets I’ve ever been on, none have ever been as effective as, ‘Just push back, fatso.’ And stop eating so much,” said Williams, via ET Online. “The extra sauces, like, tunafish doesn’t need so much Miracle Whip … and so much cheese!”

Another acquired good habit that Williams has shared according to Inquisitr is that has refrained from eating late at night.

Williams is a daytime host of “The Wendy Williams Show” which is now on its seventh season. According to The Salt Lake Tribune, it has an audience of 2 million people daily. According to the outlet, Williams has garnered success over the years as shown by her widened audience appeal and better show time slot. Many big name Hollywood celebrities have graced the show including George Takei, Ja Rule, Eva Mendes, and Whoopi Goldberg.
