A study about Facebook finds too much of the social media site could have negative effects on young women.

Ohio University, The University of Iowa and University of Strathclyde collected data from more than 800 female college students. Those who spent large amount of time on Facebook had more negative feelings about their appearance and were more likely to compare their bodies to their friends. Though, there was no link found between social network time and eating disorders.

The research will be presented at the 64th International Communication Association Conference in Seattle.
