As Jennifer Metcalfe prepares for the Christmas party season, she reveals her diet and beauty secrets.

The curvy 32-year-old, famed for playing Mercedes McQueen in Hollyoaks, is often seen flatting her jaw-dropping figure in skimpy swimwear and skin-tight dresses.

But how does she maintain her sculpted hourglass physique?

“My approach to eating well is really healthy; I generally eat what I want, when I want, but in moderation,” said the Channel 4 soap star.

To ensure she’s looking her best for party-dress season like the ones at Peaches Boutique short prom dress collection, Jennifer embarks on a six-week diet plan ahead of the Christmas period.

The brunette beauty eats whatever she wants for five days a week and then has eight LighterLife Fastpacks across two fast days.

“I do the 5:2 diet with LighterLife Fast to help keep my weight in check,” she revealed.

No stranger to a red carpet event, Jennifer also offered up some tips for oozing confidence at this year’s Christmas party.

“If there’s one thing I’ve learnt from years of red carpets, it’s that comfort is the key,” she said. “If you don’t feel comfortable and confident in what you’re wearing, people will notice.”

“Pick an outfit that flatters your best bits and hides any areas you dislike and your confidence will shine through,” she added.

The actress also recommends testing out an outfit in front of the mirror before heading out on a night out.

“Always try a few different poses in the mirror before you go out, that way you’ll know what works for what you’re wearing that evening,” she said. “If you’re wearing something with a split, show off some leg.”

And when it comes to those Christmas party snaps, Jennifer recommends the over-the-shoulder pose.

“It’s my fail-safe pose when I’m wearing something figure hugging. Perfect for highlighting the waist and bum, if I’m in a skin-tight dress then it’s definitely an over-the-shoulder shot,” she added.
